I don’t know if Apple TV+ just aren’t good at advertising their tv shows outside of their sphere because I hadn’t heard about this one?

Newly released, with a new episode available every Friday, Chief of War has been fantastic in its first 2 episodes so far.

Jason Momoa stars as a Hawaiin War Chief in a gruelling epic of cross-island war, family feuding, colonisation and a necessary unification of the islands to save themselves.

It’s all in a native tongue with subtitles but moves at a good pace, has lots of action, with a really interesting, unfurling storyline. It is beautifully filmed and the acting is top notch so far.

Easy pick of the month to start off August and it’s an 8.2/10 from us so far.
