What is it About?
Jason Statham stars as Levon Cade, a former Royal Marine who has left his previous life behind and settled into a considerably quieter existence working in construction.
When the teenage daughter of his boss suddenly disappears, however, Levon's particular set of skills makes him rather better equipped to help find her than your average construction worker.
His search quickly leads him into a dangerous criminal underworld and forces Levon to return to the kind of life he thought he'd left behind.
It's familiar territory for Statham — an apparently ordinary man with a rather extraordinary past — with director David Ayer teaming up with him following their success together on The Beekeeper.
My Thoughts:
We love Jason Statham - he’s been in some great movies over the years (I’m thinking the Transporter Franchise in particular) but it also feel that he’s in a lot of “meh!” movies and this is one of them. You know what your getting - he’s almost always a retired forces chap trying to live a quiet life and things gone awry! It’s good, honest action - ok storyline and a fine time filler if you want to have something on without havinf to give it your full attention.
