Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026)
AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX
Rated 15
Us fans of the Peaky Blinders series waited so long for this movie and I have to say it was with very high expectations.
The Movie is set in World War 2, where Tommy Shelby -needs to come out from his self-imposed solitude in his run-down, rural estate to come to the aid of his estranged son Duke, who has gotten himself (and the new Peaky Blinders gang he runs) involved with Nazi sympathisers, who are trying to collapse the UK economy from the inside - through the introduction of counterfeit currency.
Tommy has been rotting away in his home, away from almost everyone as he battles the demons and ghosts of his past but is convinced that he has to show face again in Birmingham and stop the Fascist plan and save his son - Duke from further trouble.
If, like myself - you had high hopes of this movie being the perfect ending to one of the greatest series in recent times…you will likely be disappointed. What the movie does, feels more like a set up for the new Peaky Blinders spin off series via a half-hearted send off for the original series.
I was a bit disappointed but it was still fairly entertaining. It gets the top spot for the month - perhaps undeservedly….purely, as its the end of the original Peaky Blinders Era.
It’s an enjoyable movie and my score for this one is an openly biased 7.1/10 - and only because I absolutely loved the series - but I can see why critics score it much lower.
