What is it About?
John David Washington stars as an unnamed CIA operative who finds himself recruited into a mysterious organisation known as Tenet and tasked with preventing a threat that could have devastating consequences for the entire world.
This isn't quite your conventional spy mission though.
The key is a technology known as "inversion", which allows objects and people to effectively move backwards through time. Alongside the mysterious Neil, played by Robert Pattinson, our protagonist is drawn into an increasingly complex international operation involving Russian oligarch Andrei Sator and his estranged wife Kat.
Being a Christopher Nolan movie, explaining much more than that probably isn't advisable — partly because of spoilers and partly because Tenet very much expects you to figure things out as it goes along!
My Thoughts:
So, although not a new movie by any stretch - we decided to go back and watch this after realising it was a Christoper Nolan movie and we’d just watched The Odyssey in the cinema and thought we’d check it out.
It is a time-travelling, mind-boggler of a movie! You really need to put the phone away and give this one your attention or else the understanding of the storyline will eat you up and spit you out, leaving you wondering what the heck is going on. Not for everyone but only watch if you’re ready for Inception style storyline!
