Denzel returns for a 3rd instalment of the popular Equalizer franchise and does not disappoint.
This time round, retired government assassin - Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) - finds himself in the care of a friendly Doctor in Southern Italy after sustaining injuries in a previous job.
He finally feels like he has found a home to live out a peaceful and inconspicuous retirement but it doesn’t last long as his new friends, in his new home, are under constant threat of violence from the local crime bosses of the Italian mafia.
Naturally he’s going to have to do something about that.
Denzel is in his 70’s now but still commands a role with ease. Some of what we see isn’t entirely believable but it doesn’t take away from what is some really great entertainment - an easy to watch action-thriller worthy of a 7.2/10 score.
