Released in the midst of the lead up to Christmas, Fallout Season 2 landed without much recognition (in my opinion).
Season 1, back in 2024 was fantastic - a different sort of post-apocalypse show - incorporating concepts that blended the past and future along with new ideas, action, adventure and dark humour.
Thankfully, Amazon offer up a recap at the start of the season and to be totally honest, I’d forgotten how most of the storylines intertwined - so that was great to have it all summarised - although with the passage of a year - it’s just harder to remember what went beforehand.
It’s more of the same but we know the characters now - so we get to continue their storylines and see how storylines unfurl. I love it - it’s an easy watch, it’s serious and unserious at the same time. The storylines move along pretty quickly and there is lots of gore if you’re at all squeemish!
So far so good in Season 2. We’re about 3 episodes in at the time of typing, with new episodes released every week at present - 7.9/10 and expecting it to keep improving as the episodes go on.
