Another Apple TV+ show that we’re now loving but never saw any sort or advertising for! Does anyone else have the same issue? Even with a household full of iPhones, iPads and Macs - we always seem late to the Apple TV+ party.
Fret not though, as we stumbled across Your Friends & Neighbours over the weekend and in a timely fashion, have our TV Show of the Month for September.
Apple TV+ have smashed it out of the park lately - with last months show of the month being their ‘Chief of War’ and it’s 2 in a row now, as we give this months coveted title to ‘Your Friends & Neighbors’.
The likeable and well known Jon Hamm, pays Coop - a Hedge Fund Manager - who lives in around the shenanigans and loose-moral-code of the finance world (think Wolf of Wall Street and you’ll land in the right sort of place).
Coop loses his job under questionable circumstances and this comes with frustrating repercussions. Top this, with the pressure of sustaining a certain high-living lifestyle - he resorts to robbing from his wealthy ‘friends’ in attempts to maintain the appearance, to his social network - that everything is normal. With the scene set, plus a lot more backstories and unfurling stories to intertwine (that I won’t let you in on) - we have a fun, interesting, well acted and highly bingeable show.
A great show to start off the month - to watch alongside Chief of War. A very enjoyable and bingeable 8.1/10 from us for this one.
